Extremely vigorous all male variety with excellent flavor. Plant in well-drained soil in full sun. Also performs well in heavy clay-like soils. Resists fusarium, rust, and crown rot.

Do not harvest asparagus the year it is planted. A light harvest may be taken the second season. Harvest spears with tight tips by snapping the 7-9 inch stalks near the ground. Once established, pick all the spears produced as allowing them fern out gives the asparagus beetles a home to lay their eggs.
